INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I couldn't find the deal online for the sale on the garden planner. Was there a specific website offering it as I'd like to try it out at $10 instead of $25?
hanakimi ~ CRSelvey is the one who asked me to pass the info along. It says it's for an iPad, but there is some info I've attached that mentions that this app integrates with a previous PC/Mac version. Here is a link: Grow Planner Gardening App for iPad - MOTHER EARTH NEWS
If you don't think this app will work for you, I noticed other Garden Planner apps on the App Store. Good luck! Wish I didn't have so much shade or I'd get the app.

chick rookie and chick crazed ~ You two and your Cochin adventures are pretty funny! I'm glad your DH is watching out for that poor hen-pecked roo.
kabhyper ~ That Gus! And I thought he was perfect. lol Can you separate the hens and give them a break? They're probably stressed from the horrible weather and then they have some crazy Art Deco roo attacking them!

So someone tried to tell me that Peaches is a splash EE, and that's why Cricket is blue. But peaches is peach! LOL She does have a little blue or gray in her head that makes her look dirty all time. Any EE peeps that have an opinion on this?
I believe they are correct in their statement. I'm going to try to explain, but bear with me. I'm usually asleep at this hour and cannot be held responsible for my grammar or sentence structure. It's because Blue (Bl) is a dilution of Black (bl+) and so it only really affects what would normally be black markings on a bird. This can be seen, for example, in BBS Wheaten Ameraucana hens, in which the Splash specimens are still Wheaten-looking, but have white tail feathers (and neck feathers, I think?) rather than black. Therefore, your EE is splash beneath her peachy markings. I have a few EE girls that look like they're splash, as well as a few that look like they're blue. My Betty Beard is splashy under her markings, too. Ha, her most recent picture. I know she looks skeptical, but it's the truth!

All this cold weather bringing on the boredom in the hen house, and sometimes in ours also.

So, what to do. Well, around here, when the Polar Vortex brings ice, we make an ice rink and play hockey:

If anyone is interested in any of little ameraucana moms birds, I can bring them back up north with me from 70 to 465 to 69! I'm making the run tomorrow morning, arriving to her place around 11 am. If you are interested, get with her to arrange payment and myself to arrange pickup.

Likewise, if anyone is wanting silkies, I have quite a few I can delivery on my way down or back, preferably on the way down so they aren't sitting in the car longer than necessary. Just send me a private
