INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hey guys! I've been lurking and reading. :) I'm glad the puppy is going to be okay and the baby goats are adorable. M2H, your chicks are really cute!. I cleaned out the silkie box today, and since they can't get outside I let them run around my kitchen. I had a rather large mopping job after. It was really cute though seeing Snow and her babies interact with the silkie family. They were all very good with the babies. I don't feel confident putting them in the box with the big silkies yet though. Hopefully we can get the back out in the coop in a couple of weeks.

This cracked me up. Monkey see monkey do.

Awwww so cute! If I ever expand into bantams I want some! I love both Chance and Henly. They are my fav's! The white is beautiful but it seems like they would always be dirty! Can you move them back outside this week since it will be around 50 degrees? Maybe if you turn down your heat for a few days to let them adjust. My chicks are getting kicked out to the garage tonight! I'll probably give them their heat plate back for a week to make sure they are ok.

ok, anyone know how to get pictures off my ipad to my pc? I connect them with the usb cable. I hear both ipad and computer "chime" and ipad asks me if I trust the computer. I accept that I trust it, but then nothing! Supposedly autorun should pick up the Ipad and allow me to transfer pictures but I cant get the autorun to work. and then i go to my drives and dont see the ipad. However, if I go to the devices in the control panel, i can see the ipad! Im getting frustrated! lol
Can you bluetooth them over? Or send then to your email on your ipad and then get them off of your email from your computer.

How many are you trying to move? If it is only a couple, i usually email them to myself.

I've got a Macbook, so I've never tried to hook my Ipad to a pc.

I did get my Sportsman 1502 incubator today, what a beast! DH and DD had to move it, I couldn't wrangle it myself.
Got it all unpacked, and have about 60 quail eggs set now in there to test it
I am very impressed, so far I was able to reach over 70% on humidity! Humidity's been a huge issue for me all along.
I may be selling my styrofoam Little Giant incubators. If anyone is interested, please PM me, I have 2 "fully loaded" fans, turners etc.
I also have a full set of quail rails. Its a 5 minute job to swap the rails for egg sizes.
One is a still air that is just for hatching. the 3 are a year old, and have worked well, but need a less drafty environment than my house.
I LOVE mine! My first hatch out of there is due to go in lockdown on the 21st. I've been having some trouble getting the humidity where I want it, but slowly figuring that out.

I'd be interested in your still air for hatching. I don't plan to hatch in my Sportsman. Right now I'm using one I borrowed from Sally.

I opened their window and they started sneezing. I will try to get the out asap. Silkies are really amazing. All four of my boys get along great, and they welcome just about anything into the flock. ;) They are very sweet. Chance is already mounting hens. He is only 19 weeks. Well almost 5 months. lol That's still early for silkies though.

Its just over 1000 pictures. My old computer was so slow i never bothered to really use it. Now that I got a new computer, I was to clean up my ipad and get all the pictures off of it. I think it would take forever for me to email them to myself lol.

Thanks! My mop and broom got a work out. I would back your pics up on a memory stick and try something that way.

It really is amazing how often chickens poop- it is just constant. I see/hear about people with house chickens and I don't know how they do it! Plus chicken poop tends towards runny, which is especially hard to pick up! Wood floors really are a must!
