I will likely have some available in a week or so. I have eggs getting ready to hatch as well as an order from Meyers shipping out next Monday. I will likely have some RIR pullets, Easter egger pullets, possibly barred rock pullets, (from meyers) and various other straight run chickens that i hatch. I am up north, but could meet in the Elwood or Alexandria area if you'd like. Let me know if your interested.

Hi, thanks for the response. I am definitely interested in meeting to buy some chicks from you. I'd only be able to meet you on a Saturday or Sunday though due to work/transportation/kids/school. So let's keep in touch, maybe message me your contact info. I would be happy to meet you in Elwood. I'd like 3 Easter Eggers pullets, 3 RIR pullets and 3 Barred Rock pullets if you've got that available when the time comes. :)

I have 2 SQ LF Light Brahmas Roosters for sale:
Both hatched last year.
One was shown 1 time and won Champion Asiatic. Other one hasn't been shown, but I think he is the better rooster $25 each.

Lost my two Pekin ducks last night.. the hen and drake.. I'm so sad/mad this morning. Only one puncture site noted to the back no torn feathers or any other damage. It must have happened some time early this AM :( thinking I'm going to leave my farm dog out at night now. Thinking possibly racoon as I have my property double fenced so if a dog got in it wouldn't get out.

I know when I hatched these guys I said they're just ducks not going to get emotional as I know nature happens.. well I was bawling my eyes out when I found them.. Needless to say whether the last duck my Rouen hen likes it or not she's getting penned at night.

I am SO sorry to hear about your ducks. I've recently lost my goose to either a dog or a coon. So I know how you feel. If it was a coon, it would have eaten your ducks, what you describe sounds like a dog. They kill for the enjoyment of it and don't eat them.. I've been leaning that way on my goose as well as she wasn't eaten, just a chunk torn out of her side to disembowel her and left. Mine were in a fenced area as well, but I now keep them penned at night as well.

Hey sent you a PM with contact info.

I've been told by experienced folks that it doesn't encourage egg eating and you can feed them raw.

But...for every one of the experienced folks that say that, someone new will say that it will.

Our chickens somewhere along the line started eating my duck eggs and have now moved on to eating their own eggs if I don't get them often. So I personally would not
feed them raw egg.
