I just got my incubator all filled with eggs. I'll take some pictures in a bit.

For those of you using kiddie pools as brooders, my children would think you are nuts. They have been begging for almost 2 weeks now to have me set up their kiddie pool in our living room. I guess I could get a few of those plastic balls and let them play but no way are they getting water in my living room. A pool full of water in the living room really is only needed a few times in a lifetime. But maybe in our basement later this week as a compromise.

Well another gone! I haven't a clue what's gotten them! First Silkie the other day now my momma Cochin bantam. .no feathers just gone! Her daughter started laying a bit ago..she is now my only girl..with 3 frizzled boys!
Poor girl!

First Kab got me thinking about cochin's now you say you have eggs available, I dont know to much about the Bantams though. I like the LF never really delt with bantams except a few years back we had some silkies.

Haha. Yes, bantam Cochins. A black roo and a blue splash/blue silver roo over a buff columbian pullet, lavender pullet, and now 2 black pullets thanks to wheezy! I really need to add a frizzle roo to the mix!

Just saw the auction. Yeah her birds are nice! I'd be happy to trade eggs, chicks, or Roos at some point to expand bloodline.

I'd definitely like that.

Can't wait for Thursday! Scrappy is getting two friends from Raisinemright!!! Two lovely Khaki girls to keep little Scraps company. Now I just have to figure out where to put them ;-) lol
