INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Ok. Here is what I have available to bring with me on the chicken train.

4- 1yr old naked neck hens $10 each laying nice large brown eggs
3- 8 wk old blue cochin pullets $10 each, 3 for $25 PENDING
1- 1 yr old Tolbunt Polish Rooster $10 (doesn't have good enough color for my breeding project)
3- 2-5 week old blue bantam cochin chicks $5-$7 depending on age
1- 1 yr old Birchen Marans roo $5. Very nice roo, never acted aggressive. Just have too many Roos.
2 pairs Birchen Marans chicks around 4 weeks old. $10 per pair
1- 6 week old silver laced wyandotte cockerel $3
2- 3 week old easter egger/olive egger chicks $3 each. These are from either legbar/tolbunt mix or legbar/marans mix
You are killing me! lol. My barn is full. I need to build more pens.

love all the pic's, wish I wasn't going to be so busy next week the chicken train always runs at a bad time for me, would have been great to get some Silkies if they were girls I was looking at my Silkies tail feathers and am pretty sure I got 2 boys, what do you guys think? They are 12 weeks old today.

Hope the pic's are good enough.

And now I have pic's of where I want to put the chicks in the coop with the big girls.

in the pic you are looking at the area under the nesting boxes, it'd 8' long and 2 1/2' wide. Going to put up the same type wielded wire that they are penned in with now so I know they cant get out of it, and the big girls cant get in.
Op's please

I can also deliver birds next friday as I will be going to bloomington that afternoon/evening. Only issue is I will be in a hurry and wouldn't be able to wait around.

Wow! You must be on over load! I am nearing 100 chickens. The NNs are very tempting, but I am going I start having to house chickens in the crappy hay loft lol

Progress!

She was more helpful than I expected.

The color is "Cherry Soda." They had a photo of a red barn this color and I was sold. :)

I guess I will paint the trim white, and then I'll probably paint "Diva Shack" over the door.

If I get *real crazy* I might paint a quilt design on the outer "people door." Why not?

Ran out of paint to do the whole thing.

Tomorrow, more paint! And then we'll see what we can do with all this "stuff."

The pile of boards above and the bunk bed frame are from an IKEA bunk bed that we decided wasn't worth reassembling. I'm going to use them to make my raised beds, which will go around the run (until I run out of wood to build them).

Still need to get a saw to cut the pop door, and do a little waterproofing inside the coop, itself. Thinking about putting some linoleum down, too. Oh, and need the aluminum for the roof on the run. Don't know how long it will take me to do all the "extras" like my rain barrel & solar lights, but at least I hope to have the run ready by the time the chicks will be big enough to go out for good!

Sheeting on, I would start laying shingles but we are having company over for dinner. But tomorrow it should be a complete roof with Bark brown shingles!! I got my oldest chicks in the small coop getting the hang of life outside the brooder!
