Not bein able to get aroun plays a big toll on then. I ha girl with the same issue though I don't think her legs were broke. She would eat a loot but lost a lot of weight. Give her a month of so and see how she is gaining. Feed things like BOSS, corn, oatmeal, maybe even some breadGot another question for you guys and gals. If you remember I had a hen with 2 messed up legs ( I think they were broke ) anyway she is walking again after 2 mths, but her comb and waddles are still lt pink. She has been wormed, she eats like a horse but weighs nothing, but her poo is normal and she is active. Any Ideals?![]()

May I also ask what age they were when you purchased them? And how long have you had them there at your place?
Here is side profile pics of Rocky and some pics of my Marans chicks. One of them had an accident yesterday and hung itself overnight.![]()
I removed the wire gate it got it's head stuck in.
I am also worried we are going to lose another one. I have been treating for coccidia for 3 days now. Something is not right with the way his eyes look. Any ideas?
Anyone know what this chick is? It came from a black copper Marans hatching egg. I am guessing a BR and Marans mix.

Quote: MG is the worst possible answerI can think of if it is not an injury of some sort or a genetic disorder from the breeding of brother and sister together. Sometimes brother and sister breeding can produce deformed chicks. Maybe the eyes were always a bit off and you just noticed it as the chick got larger.
