INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Kiniska- that looks great- very creative. Looks like you made fast work of it! I can say that since it wasn't me doing it! Lol

pbirdhaven- those are adorable!! Didnt know you still had goats!

One of the Bantys I got yesterday is not doing well!! Trying to nurse it! I'm not sure what the problem is. Other than it fell in the water and was soaked when I got home. I'm not sure if it was eating and drinking. I thought they all were. So I'm eye drop peering it now. It's one of the little bluefish ones. This batch is sooo much smaller than any of the other Bantys I've gotten.

on another note, went to TSC( DH was with me so no I couldn't buy chicks) and I did score this...... I know what I want to do to it but any ideas!! It was $20! It's very sturdy. I'll post this pic as a before and later again when I get it done.

I'm thinking a 2 leveled brooder cage!!

I thought I posted this earlier today, but I must've forgotten to "submit." I was anxious to go outside with my flock on a beautiful day.

LittleAmeraucanaMom-- Please post your goat baby pictures.

Bloonskiller ~ I'm sorry to hear about your chicken! That's so sad. I hope the egg is viable. About the raccoon...Do you know how it got the chicken? I'm just wondering since we've had two raccoons visit our deck the past week to eat bird and squirrel food, but the nearby coop didn't appear to be tampered with (I have some extra coverings on the coop). We have half inch hardware wire covering our coop and those carabiner locks on the door/openings. Since we've only had chickens for a year, we aren't experienced in keeping predators away. We leave a porch light on as a deterrent, but I just Googled that topic, and bright motion detecter lights are more effective to keep raccoons away. A site also mentioned leaving a waterproof radio on since raccoons avoid humans, but it seems like that would be annoying to chickens! I have started bringing in the bird and squirrel food and the cats' water bowl at night.
