INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Last 2 days have really worn me out. At least I know everyone is dry and warm as they can be.

Somebody mentioned a Connersvlle show next weekend? I can't seem to find anything on the internet. Anyone have details?
It's the Indiana Poultry Breeders show, Nv 22-23, for bantam and LF chickens, guineas, and bantam ducks. The fairgrounds in Connersville. Gotta love it--the directions always say behind the KMart, which has been gone for years. I drove around looking for it the first time I went.

I pan to go with show birds, a few extra silkie youngsters, and a pair or 2 of wheaten Marans. Think Ccccccchickens is planning to be there too.

@CCCCCCCCHICKENS Congrats on getting to go to the Dixie Classic! Wish I could.

Is connersville far from N vernon? I have never been to a show but sure would like too

Quote: It is kind of listed on the site above. But for some reason the state is off a bit. It is showing up as AZ not IN even though the word Indiana is part of the show name.

Quote: I would estimate about 1.5 hours if there are good back road conditions. Longer if you have to drive through Columbus and Franklin. Or you could make a giant day of it and drive east but barely north then take the historic train.

I am not going to connersville. I never planned on it. I woul have liked too but I would rather this miss this one am go to some others I really want to go to. And thanks. I am leaving at 12 am and driving there-checking in birds-staying st the show during the day. And then going home Sunday. Not much down time

Earle is doing so well!!! I took Diamonds 1st and 2nd hatch of chicks out of her coop and put Earle back in with her alone. The chicks were 16 wks and 9 weeks old and they get along great so they have a little backyard type coop all to themselves. I put plastic up around it and straw to help insulate a bit. The chicks have been separated for five days and seem to be doing quite well. Ok back to Earle... I did use the super glue to close his wounds and kept Neosporine on them as much as he would tolerate it. The aspirin/electrolite water worked wonders. He is still on the endangered list but he really needed to get out of that small "hospital" carrier. He was a sitting duck (so t speak) for any other cat wanting to terrorize him again. I'm still putting electrolytes in the water, figure it won't hurt Diamond either (she is diligently brooding again- not my choice!!!) she doesn't seem t b getting up n eating much not even with the feed with in a neck stretch of the nest.
Our weather is taking a turn for the worst here today, the Polar Vortex FINALLY reached us full force! Will b down to 16 tonight with highs in low 20s tomorrow...BRRRRRRR!!! Hope you all are staying warm! Ttyl
