Quick egg question:
One of our Orps is always laying bullet-shaped eggs. They sometimes have a line or wrinkle in them. I'm not sure if this is OK or not. She just turned 1 year old last week, so I would think her pullet egg stage would be done by now. All of our other hens lay "normal" shaped eggs. Does she need a vitamin? (Shell thickness is normal. just weird shapes.)

My Buff ORP also lays eggs that are rather pointy on both ends. She always has. She is a year old and they just got bigger as she got older but still pointy!

Nothing to be concerned about and not really anything you can do something about - it's just what she does.

My Rhode Island has been laying the same shaped bullet egg also and she is 1 year old. She has never laid a normal shaped egg. I figure lucky her, it not as large around, lol.

yes, I'm hoping too! I have these chicks and 6 more eggs incubating from another line. Crossing my fingers!
How did the swap go? I was really hoping I could make it but sadly work got in the way.
It went okay. The weather affected the turnout a lot. We had two sellers cancel and most of the bird were sold in the first hour. Then all that was left was supplies. Looking to have another on July 18th ( the Saturday after the wells county 4-h fair). There might also be a few things changed to bring in more sellers.
