So I got to meet @racinchickins yesterday when I picked up my chicks. Friendly guy and his set up looks so cool! We didn't go in the barn, just saw the outside, impressive.
Now I have a problem, the lady who hatched some eggs in her incubator had just one hatch, a tiny TP. I think the PO scrambled the eggs in that shipment. She bought 2 more chicks to keep him company. I am trying to rehome the two pullet biddies, a buff orpington and an ameraucana. Hubby plans to check with a neighbor. I am checking on here. I am South of Indy.
They are cute and they are bonded as they huddle together apart from the others more. They may have been hatched July 1 or a few days before. I guess they are probably from Rural King.
If you are interested, I would like them picked up soon.
The two CL roos will go to raconchickins, he looked happy about them. We will raise them 2 months. They are agree fire Farm Rees line, a generation or two from the GF farm rooster.
I ended up with one GB, 2 TP and 2 CL which are pullets. Have more hatching eggs and a used incubator on the way soon. Nervous about incubating eggs myself but will give it a try. For now I have 9 chicks in the brooder. Sweet little things. As my chosen breeds are smaller, the two extra pullets look big in comparison too!
Going to try to get a picture today, they were too stressed yesterday after arriving home, we let them rest.
Thanks to those who wished us luck and congratulated us.
