You can find the standard here:does anyone know what a sq polish hen looks like?
That was us. Thanks for the compliment. I bought some wheels for it, and will add some handles and make an easier gate, and possibly a roof over part of it.Well, I lost my place in the 50-or-so posts there were.Gonna have to pick through the past few pages for quotes, but whoever had the temporary tractor made out of old fencing--I love it!![]()

Wow another hawk attack. At least you got your chicken back, and maybe helped with her foot. I've seen other birds harrassing hawks around here, funny how the hawk usually ignores them and the birds keep coming at them from above/behind. Once in a while the hawk will go upside down and show the talons to the harassing birds, they sure get the message for about 5 minutes!Well we had another hawk attack on the farm. As I came out of the barn my flock starting screaming and running for the coop. I then seen a hawk with a chicken up in the air. It dropped her from like 15 to 20 feet in the air. The chicken it got was "Crazy" the chicken I was talking about on here that has the foot problem. It didn't really hurt her but she does have a few puncture marks. It also broke off her long toe that was dead on the left foot. As the hawk was flying away a little bird kept attacking it. We was wow what a little courageous bird. I thought only crows would attack the hawks but this was like a little blue bird.
Oh this wasnt a red tail hawk this time i dont think. It looked kinda black on top but kinda white on the bottom not as big as a red tail either. I am pretty sure it was a Coopers Hawk this time.
Yeah right, I can't believe my dog would do such a thing, such a perfect dog she is. Hopefully the dog will stay on its owners property.Sorry about the hawk attack.
I found a dog this morning trying to get into our movable chicken pen. Thankfully the only damage was torn netting and scared chickens. The chicken wire we had around the bottom held. It got bent up but at least I found the dog before he had time to get into the pen.
I called the owners and they came to pick him up. But the lady was in disbelief that her dog would try to get in with the chickens. They have chickens too and of course the dog never tries to eat their free range chickens.
Yes I love the hollowed out stumps. Great idea. They all look happy! Here is some pics I took today for you all!!
Silkie Roo and Amerucanas around him. I just let them out for the first time today. They was all suppose to be hens but I think I got a roo in the mix. It has more red and it feathers are drooping more. He is 2nd in from the right. You can only see its tail end but you can tell it has more red.
Silkie Hen oh and you can see one of my kittens in the back ground. LOL
This is my 2 new Pekin Ducks. 1 is bigger than the other but they are the same age. Hopefully 1 is a hen and the other a drake.
