Well we made a dent. A small dent!
We had a great turn out with a lot of wonderful folks! I cannot say enough!!

We caught 15. 2 escaped, so only 13 made it outta there. I would guess there's 20+ still to get. I will be going back until every last one is caught. They deserve so much better!

I just got home. I need to go pick up straw tomorrow for them. I got them all settled in with food and water. And all cage doors wired shut. Some of the door latches are loose and when they were jumping trying to fly out the latch came undone and out went a pea! Ugh!

I know @mother2hens took a ton of pics but I did take a few. Once I go back in the morning I will take more of them then too.

Good luck to everyone who is working on the peafowl today!

I wish I could have come up. I was supposed to work, but actually ended up having an emergency appendectomy on Friday! No fun at all. It came out of nowhere. I'm staying with my parents the next few days so I don't have to go up/down steps, which is great because I have my dog to take care of me and I'm with the chickens instead of my crazy and noisy neighbors.

Oh my! I hope you are feeling better.

was passing by a garage sale a few days ago & they had this free pool deck + stairs - i grabbed it up
a lot of re-usable wood . . . . . . (or maybe a foundation of a new coop build someday)

oh my, awesome news! I told DH and DDs be prepared for next weekend if we need to go out there, and get those birds in a better place. WTG everyone that helped these birds get a better life. And thank you all for caring!

So my DH met a contractor that was cleaning out all his extra stuff, retiring. This is a 20ft trailer we stacked up with a whole lotta building materials. Lots of plywood, 2x12x12 boards and pressure treated OSB. I estimated around $2500 value. DH paid $150. Some will go to repairing floors, house maintenance, etc.The rest builds coops! Also got a 6ft long porcelain coated double bowl sink, DH is making us a processing table with it. Lot of labor to load it all. Really appreciate my kids. SIL and nephews help! Sure will help getting several projects done.

I didn't do near that good today but I did come across 2 wood crates with the lids and in like new shape.The guy had 5.00 each on them I got them both for 5.00 I'm good what can I say.... lol
I really made out today got that ( it was getting dark, so will get pics latter ) Meet up with @Brat Flock and got 5 new birds from her. It was nice meeting her, I love meeting Byc members.

Yes. There is usually a small vendor area in the main show barn.
