Have you seen him doing "his job"? Even if they are crowing, they may not have figured out what to do quite yet. Take some of the eggs, and compare them to these pics: (copyright on photos)
I know he's more then two years old.. He's mated plenty of times in front of me a lot of it ends up on leg feathers though Your mom will be In my prayers what do you mean by hatching for people?
 
Also he's over four hens id ike some lavender orps lol but if my rb are doing fine I don't think it's my incubator I have 12 different breeds so I'll need a new incubator or two or just one of the really big ones

What incubator do you have? I used 3 LGs the first year I hatched, they weren't bad. We just needed more space since we raise birds for the table too.
 
On a more cheerful note, I now have 3 breeding groups divided! Lavender hen is back to laying. I am going to tear down my incubator in a week, clean, disinfect and stop hatching for a bit..lol. JMF quail due the 26th, and I swear I think every egg is viable! thats 68 quail

They go into lockdown tomorrow morning! One last candling at that time. 3 goose eggs left and about a dozen ducks.
 
For an incubator I use the styrofoam one with the auto turner from ruralking I have meaties too but not sure I want to breed them cept for my hyper bird project

Oh ok. t should do ok for you. Just watch the temps.

Why so many qual
Food and eggs. I do not buy our meats from a grocery unless we have to.
