Hows everyone holding out in the cold? My turkeys seem totally unaffected. Guineas hate it but are still being active. My chickens are all hiding! ducks and geese are all huddled together keeping warm.

goats are out roaming around and our 1 stray chicken is managing somehow.

no some one dropped a stray in my neighbor's yard on the 4th. Her dogs were going nuts so she called me over to catch the poor hen. I'm just keeping it with the goats for now. It eats their dropped food and hasn't got stepped on yet.

Aww, thats cool. I have a few free range EE that stay with the goats/cow almost all the time, one even rides on Fannys back. She doesn't seem to care.

Okay - so it's really cold. But I've NEVER seen my adult birds huddle together. Ever. On roosts at night they stay pretty far apart.

What's up with that?
