INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Well today was the day, coop windows "screened in" (hardware cloth) and tinted. Finishing touches done.

They don't know what to make of it. They do not want to be out of the house and are very much being mamas birds. .................
Nice. Our chickens didn't know what to do with their new, abundant room either, but they sure figured out what to do with it after 30 minutes. Great looking pullets.

Very new so please bare with the questions!!! Is it a coop that the chickens will be in full time? If so, what do you do for winters, very hot summers? I love this idea but I want to make sure I completely understand it before starting one myself.

Oh its ok. Yes its a full time coop will have attached run added to is as well. I will have some vents in walls and plus a few windows for summer heat. For winters I will have shutters that will close over windows to keep some of the cold out. Will have insulation board in ceiling in winter as well. Feel free to ask questions anytime!

Couple more newbies we got on Friday. Funny looking chicks aye! Hahaha

Furry chicks! So cute.

Love it! Please keep posting pics of your coop! We have a guy locally that gives them away for free...he buys bulk items to auction off....my brother mentioned he knew a guy in Alaska that uses pallets also and it had me a little confused. This is my favorite thread, by the way! My questions always get answered and everyone is so nice about it all! Thanks!

Thanks. I will keep posting pics. There is so many things you can build with pallets. I love building things out of pallets. My wife wants me to build her a patio set using them as well. Here is a pic of the one she wants.
