I lost 2 more feather legged bantams today.

I got the assorted feathers legged bantam from a hatchery and it was my first time doing this. And the chicks are very small. Im starting to wonder if they pick out the runts and sell them as the assorted. Has anyone had problems like this before with assorted bantams from a hatchery? My 3 polish and silkies and ducks are doing great tho. So that is what makes me think its just something to do with the assorted.

I had a large order of roosters from Meyer. After the first few days they have done really really well but a little over 10% passed the first day. Meyer service is great though and I have a credit for the next time I order. Not sure if I will order the leftover roos or something else next time though.

Some
sometimes ideal will throw in roos on small orders for warmth. If not call them i have ordered from them several times and their customer service has always been outstanding! They refund for deaths within 3 or 4 days from delivery too!

You mentioned that the order was placed at the farm store, right? Maybe they got mixed up there? I'm curious to see how they turn out

I called about my hatchery chicks that died. They are going to give me credit for the 3 that died but not for the 2 mystery chicks. Thats ok tho as long as i get credit for the 3.

yea thats what they said. I talked to the farm store lady and she said sometimes they do get them mixed up because they dont know all their chicks breeds. I told her thats fine just wanted credit for the 3 that died. The rest of the chicks and ducks are doing great.

if they came from the farm store then the store mixed them up! They did it to us to we got 1 less cornish and 1 extra all white aracuana they thought it was a meat chick!
