INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

It has a shelf for a water pan I was going to buy the pan, float, and bucket for a sportsman and put in there but I don't need two units and the hatch tray in the bottom of our hatches very well
If you decide to sell it for sure, let me know and if you can, send me pics. I will be somewhat in the Lafayette area mid February so if I decided to get it, I could pick it up then (unless you needed it gone sooner)

Brrrrr, coated the roosters combs with lanolin cream! Tomorrow going to be a waaay below zero windchill. They are in a barn but still! Also went to menards bought some 60 watt natural sunlight bulbs and a timer for the marans, austrolorps, faverolles and aracauna...the bulbs are just Like the ones humans use for phototherapy. Hoping to lift some spirits its almost go time, spring Sooo close!. Just had a handfull of chicks hatch! Few aracauna some blue cuckoo marans (i like mixing color) yay! Need to rehome them tho.

So I just heard that it is supposed be a wind chill of -15 tonight and tomorrow. What should I be doing to make sure my chickens are warm enough, I've heard that you don't really have to do anything, that they'll stay warm enough on their own, just make sure they have plenty of food and water, but I'm still kind of worried. Any ideas?

I do turn heat lamps on for my bantams, but the LF do just fine with out added heat.

okay so I don't need to put anything on their combs? Some people have said that you need to put vasoline on them or whatever to protect from frostbite.
