INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I just set 18 eggs in the incubator. The girls really came thru for me in the last few days. 6 eggs friday, 3 eggs saturday and 12 today. So in the last 3 days they laid 21 eggs I had 18 good ones for incubating. They are due to hatch February 9th. And guess what MY birthday is February 9th!!!! What a present for me!!! This is a variety hatch. Silki,Easter Egger, Australorp, and a few mystery eggs.

Cluckacres~ tell your girls "great job". I've been looking around for an incubator that isn't too expensive. Found a few on craigslist, but no responses back. What a special birthday you will share. :)

Despite the horrible stories, I've had good luck with my little giant thus far (incubating quail eggs for 3-4 days now. If I were to go out and purchase a new one, I'd go with the genesis 1588. But so ar I can't complain with my Little Giant

We finally broke down and got a used a sportsman last fall best money i have spent out side of our parent stock we are running a 95% hatch rate just hatched 3 blk bantams 1 bluebantam and a quail D'Anver yesterday

I have a cabinet that i built last fall that is modeled after our sportsman with a digatil thermo fan heater unit in it just needs a turner system and would make a great bator for someone i used as a hatcher when i was mailed 80 eggs that where due to hatch at same time it worked great

If you have a BIg R nearby they have the one i have. It's a little giant still air incubator for only $45. Then you can buy the egg turner for it seperate if you would want for another $45. Thats pretty cheap! It once you set it to the temp you want it may only fluctuate 1 degree. Depending on where you have it.

What is the brand on that incubator? Does it have a humidity control also or is it dry air?

could you post pictures? I maybe interested. Don't know if I need a cabinet style incubator though....

I am actually planning on hatching eggs for the first time and my two sons and I just bought our little giant today from our local tractor supply. I would really love to find a batch of rhode island reds to put in there in the next couple of weeks. Any chance one of my Indiana peeps have some to sell?
