Finally caught up on the thread. I swear this thing grows faster than my chicks!

Welcome to all of the new members! If anyone would like to be added to the member list just shoot me a PM and I'll get you taken care of!

To the thanks for keeping the member list updated you are more than welcome. It really doesn't require that much time in my life.

DH and I spent the weekend building our coop. We got rained out on Monday, which was unfortunate, but it did allow us to get some things done inside the house, though it also means that the ladies are in the house for another week! DH is a bit of a perfectionist and I have a tendency to overdo things a bit, so I guess this is what happens when we try to build a coop together. We're hoping to get the last side framed in tonight and start the roof and sheeting after that.

Alfie, our English Bulldog, thinks we're building him a shade Pavilion.

Sweet Belle checking out her new digs.

First side framed in. Nesting boxes are below with 2 windows above.

DH enjoying his victory for the day. 3 sides done.

And of course, the ladies first day outside!

THAT is going to look GREAT!! I don't think I've ever seen such a large elevated coop...can't wait to see how it turns out.

Can someone tell me how to pin my location on the googlemap?? I found the listed Hoosiers there, but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to put myself on there???

Do any of you order chicks from hatcheries? And if so can you recommend a good 1? Iv been looking at a couple and iv been reading alot of not so good reviews. I don't like the idea of having babies shipped through the mail but iv run out of options and have to do something. Promised my 6 year old Antwerp quail chickens and have failed miserably at finding any locally or even semi locally. Lol any help to get me out of the dog house would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have had good luck with Meyer Hatchery. They are running a special today up to 2:30. Free shipping on a rainbow pullet package of 25 birds. It ends up being cheaper than a small order.
That said I have 8 production RIR chicks left if you are interested in those, send me a pm.

Lovely photos! Did you do some kind of effect? The backgrounds look like paintings. The foregrounds that feature living creatures are also spectacular. : - )

You must first log on to your Google account or make a Google account. (If you have gmail, just use your gmail password)

All you have to do is go to this link....http://goo.gl/maps/UShV6 . Here are the directions. You will see the state of Indiana.. Note the county you are in when are making the ‘notes’. Zoom in to where you live and then click on the red button that says Edit. After you click Edit you will see a hand, blue pin point and a zig zag line on the map. Click the pin point and drag it to where you live on the map. After you have placed your pin point then click on it and you can edit your description by adding your county. If you want to change your blue pin point to another icon or upload your own then up on the right of that box click the pin point icon and choose others or upload your own icon. If anyone has problems with this feel free to ask.
