INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Are they protected animals or will the guy who shot it be legally ok? I wonder if they will let him make a rug or head for the wall.
There are undoubtedly 500 obscure regulations that will cause the man unending grief. He will likely end up destitute and in prison for years by the time the bureaucrats get done with him.

If you have been having chickens killed, check out what it might have been.

no charges are being brought against him for his actions. big cats are legal to own in indiana with a permit. they are trying to track down who's cat it was.

BROKEN LEG - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my 7-week old Jersey Black Giant pullets has come up lame. I checked it and found that the leg bone just above the ankle flexes a little bit.

I probably should put her down because she is obviously hurting, but I would like to save her. She's the smallest of the 5 JBG's and I hate to think about having to do her in.

Anybody got suggestions?

WOW that could have been horribly dangerous for a child to stumble on! Sad the animal died, but very dangerous situation.

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes! I can't believe how fast this Indiana thread moves....holy cow! My last post was 24 hours ago and now its several pages back LOL.

Anyone have any advice on having hatching eggs shipped in the summer? This heat makes me think I should wait until October or so before I order them. Especially if I order them from clear across the country. (from papabrooder)
