INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Cluckacres~ any chicks yet? I am so excited for you, long time waiting for chicks. I set my first batch of 5 buff orpington eggs today in my home made incubator. Hoping I got everything right, looks good anyway. If it works well, I will set larger numbers. Yay for hatching your own babies!

The only thing is that Idont have a thermostat. I have gotten it set at just the right temp with a small blanket on top, and the house temp stays at a certain temp. Yes, I have a plant in the corner... thinking maybe it can help with o2 exchange. These pics don't have the eggs in it yet. I'll have to take another pic. The whole thing is lined on the inside with styrofoam and covered with shelf liner. 40 watt bulb, pc fan, quart jar for heat regulator. Cost me...... $4.25!!!
