INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Ok- need help!! I got 6 mixed bantams yesterday. Really tiny ones!! And 2 guinnies. Well they all acted like they were eating and drinking, I watched and showed them. But today 1 , now 3 are failing. Quickly!! Of course! So I made a mash and the better ones jumped in it( after I showed them) and I've been syringeing some to the 3. Any other suggestions? I haven't had any problems with any of my other batches but like I said these are sooo small.

Very lovely day,so i let the girls out of the coop to enjoy their run for the first time.it was qite funny to watch my daughter and i grab 27 chicks put them out and then shut the screen door so they wont run back in while i gathered more- lol! They were unsure at first then it didnt take them long to start scratching and running around,a few was even trying to fluff themselves up in the dirt area. I am really going to enjoy watching them this summer. Btw this snow storm coming tomarrow - stinks!! :)

Awwww Too fast, don't make me count them pleaseeeeee!!!!!! Lol! Jk. :duc I have 12 chickens and boy have the gotten big! The 1st group is almost completely feathered with my Corny (cornish x leghorn) being the biggest. Corny is bigger than my blue swedish ducks and the 2nd group is getting their feathers in. NOOOOO MORE SNOW! I hate snow:barnie :rant I wish spring would act more like spring than winter. Curse you Punxsutawney Phil:smack ............ Ok I think I am done ranting. How are your chickens doing? Are they eating you out of house and home like ours? Where are you keeping yours at? We had to give up a whole room to ours:eek: I will post pics of our chicken-n-duck room later. Oh and one more thing. Does anyone else's chickens go YUP,YUP,YUP? My Corny does! lol!
12 chickens eh? We have 8 and 4 of those are straight run so 4 could be roosters. They are eating their feed like crazy. They are in 2 different plastic containers still with a heat lamp on them. No ducks do us, but that would be fun. Coop building is on hold until the end the snow.

Im in Greenville. I'm closer to the Harrison county line. Tour coop looks good. What are you getting, or already have. I have silkies.

You are not that far from me!
I just got Black English Orpingtons and will be getting buff Brahma bantams. I love silkies, but plan to breed and only have so much room to keep everyone separate.

I started with 6 silkie chicks last year in May and now I have 15 adults, 7 ameraucana chicks for eggs when they get bigger. I also just hatched my first silkie chicks, 15. I have a broody with 9 more eggs and 14 more in the incubator. Chicken math as struck me bad.

Here are the pics I said I would post.

Walking planks so they can get in or out of the tub

That is funny. Chicken math is great. Right now I have 14 LF English Orpingtons in the brooder. Will be getting some rock crosses from McMurray mid April for the freezer. ;)
Then first week of June will be getting the bantams. We already have a large coop. I have plans to. Start on two more besides the little pallet coop. Last year was goats this year chickens next year geese.

Electrolytes in the water, make sure the heat is 95, check their little butts too, all 16 of my TSC banties had pasty butt.

I should have looked at them closer. DOH! I was in such a hurry to get them home. I used gro gel on them too, they perked up pretty fast after that. I have one thats half the size of the rest but thankfully, all made it.
