Thats so AWESOME!!!! Thanks!! He sure did his job! I couldnt believe how big he looks when he sticks all his feathers out.
Thanks for the info. We are not sure how much we will let our hens roam the yard. The run will be pretty big, but it can be muddy sometimes where it is. Lots of hay will help. I will do my best to make sure the coop and run are predator proof. We've been researching hardware cloth, my wife found the best deal at...........wait for it........Lowe's. The have 1/2'' square welded 36'' tall by 25' long for $29. Everywhere else she checked was about 30% higher. We'll need 5-6 rolls. This will about double the cost of the coop now!A Red-tail got one of my barred rocks several months back, and coons claimed four of them last year... Hawks are hard to manage, but the coons I trapped, and then put electric fence up all thru the coop, top to bottom, also put a radio in the main barn and left it on 24/7... since then... no losses... just wanted to help if possible.
