We are always looking for help! If you are comfortable working with Excel, or google docs, we really want your help. We need several contributors to keep our state thread active.

Ha. I know that feeling about being up early. I woke up at 4:30, thinking of how cool our coop will look after painting today. Took a long time to get back to sleep. I see we've been added to the bycers member list. Cool. Can you add that we have 3 amber-links, one RIR, 2 white leghorns and 2 SLW (one of whom is a cockeral, grrr. He better be well behaved lol). Thanks!

I had to leave my chicks for a week to go visit family up in Wisconsin. Can you believe that I MISS MY CHICKS?

Can't wait to get home and see how much they have changed. My sister and Nephew are chick sitting, and my husband is back home finishing the coop. I think they are sick of me calling and texting to see how the chicks are doing.

I never thought I would become so ADDICTED to chickens and all that comes with them.

Good morning, Indiana BYCers! Spring is in the air--I found 21 eggs from 27 for-sure layers yesterday! :D

strssdmom, of course I believe you miss your chicks! ;) I went camping just overnight once and thought I'd drive my mom insane before I got home, texting about my hennies!

Quote: congradulatins and prayers as well.
Quote: Any chickens new to your property should be kept separate for 14-30 days after the 14 days you might try putting one of your chickens that you care the least for in the new chickens pen. After a week or so if all of the birds in the new chicken pen are good and healthy then you can combine them. Many people combine at night after roosting time. Many people also try putting the new birds in the run before letting the current chickens out of the coop for a morning.
