INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hi there! I am in Brownstown, IN. Don't know how far you are from me but I do have some Silkies for sale. Ages 1 week, 3.5 weeks, 4 months and some hatching tonight/tomorrow too (30 in the bator so fingers crossed but not "counting them" before they hatch :fl but I hear cheeping-woot!!). I have a couple of blue, dark blue/black (hard to tell at this point if they are true black or not yet), partridge, white and taupe/khaki. I have a few showgirls too. All are pet-little better than pet quality but not SQ. We are gradually improving our pet stock and breeding toward show standards but aren't fully there yet. You can PM me if I am not too far and you are interested. Here are some early pics of the 3.5 week olds:
Oh my goodness... I can refrain... I can refrain... I.... Can...... Re...frain..... Argh!!

Brad - I agree.. A trio would work better. Two girls and a boy most certainly fit better. Sounds like a plan.

Crafty sorry to hear your hatch was a bust. Having to wait almost a month to discover they didn't even make the early stage must be hard. Hopefully your new thermometer and hydrometer will be all it needs. Fingers crossed for you.

Mother :D. Most certainly not a shark, but nothing makes me chuckle more than some drunk in the bar asking to play a rack for money. My reply.. "only if you insist..."

Just broke open the eggs. Looks like none of them made it past the first couple days.... I need to get a thermostat and a new hygrometer before I try again.

So sorry to hear that. You are brave to try. I don't think I have the heart or patience to hatch my own eggs. Better luck next time.

Here is a pic of 1 my Ameraucanas that I bought from store awhile back. It was suppose to be pullet but think it might be a roo. It has a lot more red. Some little feathers on back end seem to be swooping down. The others don't have any red in them.

Here is a pic of some of my chickens out foraging by the barn.

Got another wall done today on new coop. Put window in as well.

Hope you enjoyed my photos!!
