So its nice out right now and we spend a lot of time with the chickens but in the winter when its cold out what do you all do to still get quality time with you flock without frost bite setting in? Are the chickens just as active in winter or do the hang inside the coop more? Thanks in advance I really appreciate this forum!
He built the mojority of it so I can't take credit. The limb roosts are from our woods, so I hope the wood is safe for them. I think it's oak. The chicks are now 7 and 8 weeks old. Sexing is still iffy other than the partridge cochin, who has found his very pathetic little crow. The wyandottes are a pair I think. Everyone on here has such cute chickens and coops. You are all so nice too!! I think we are at our chicken limit for our coop size, except for that elusive silkie that I haven't found yet.
Hi Deb, thank you for the added advice! We will definitely be going there for chicks. It's all so overwhelming and I'm glad they'll help get us started. Is there a time when they stop ordering chicks?
