If you would rather get from breeders than hatcheries you can check out the members list. It shows who owns and breeds what. Are you going to show them in 4-h? If so I would recommend getting from a breeder.

O well then I guess it doesn't really matter where you get them from. If you want layers- get red sexlinks, red stars, black sex links, leghorns, rhode island reds, golden comets, Rocks, isa browns, amber links and so on. Some of those are the same things, buy a lot of the hatcheries call them different names.

Agrred. Some 4-h kids buy from hatcheries, buying from the breeder persay give you a head start
