I didn't see that part. I sure don't know if I should keep doing this. He wants to buy all I get but I don't want it coming back on me if he gets busted. Just don't know if its going to be worth it after all. what he got today paid for my feed and treats, I thought that was great. but ????? I don't know guess I'm going to do some more reading up on it?? thanks for the site it is a different one then I got.

I don't think it can come back on you. You can't control what they do with the eggs after they get them. It like if someone buys a rooster from and then decides to fight it. They may get int trouble if people find out, but they wouldn't be able to come at you for something someone else did. It all beyond your control, so therefore not your fault. This is how I see it anyways, maybe I am wrong.

No probs. I found the site because I wanted to sell eggs, and fresh produce at my local market. That was the site my market referred me to. Couldn't do it though, because I had to pay a tax per eggs and a yearly fee to sell the eggs (and an official has to inspect the chickens and coop, which results and certification can take months before approved.) There are loopholes though, like selling them on your property exempts you from that whole chapter. (Sec. 8) I really don't know what would happen, and I don't recommend selling the eggs if you know he sells eggs to the public illegally. It is on the retailer though because he has to lie about the eggs.

My khaki's are not supposed to fly but they do, at least we have seen them fly as high as 10-15 ft in the air in circles around our backyard. Since then they have been in covered runs only. They are not mean and they do a great job of teaching the chicks to forage, but the mess is so unreal.
I had chickens last year in the winter, their water and bedding never turned to mush. This year there is mushy bedding and yuck in the new coop. I felt bad showing it to Patrick today.
But the ducks are in their own area now that just happens to be flooded into a duck paradise. I'm hoping they do well by themselves and stay warm as I know we will have some colder temps coming before spring.

My questions when someone wants to buy all I have:
Are my prices fair to me or are they below market value?
If the prices are fair and a profit is being made, do I need to have more of this item since I'm selling out so fast?
And finally if it is just one buyer, why did they choose me and is there a way I can be even better so they won't move on to the next guy? Never want to lose a good paying customer.

If it even slighty rained the run would be terrible. They also had their own pool and the area around it was always a mud hole. It wasn't worth it to move it around. Then I just would have had multiple mud holes, until they finally dried up. Besides they liked to play in the mud. I hated having to deal with the waterers. They were always gross. They definaltey know how to make a mess of things. I am sure Patrick understands. It is almost impossible to keep their bedding dry and clean, they are such slobs. Their bedding clealiness only lasts until the next rain or melt in this weather.

Exactly! I don't think you should worry about it. its not like you are the one buying and reselling them.

He has beautiful birds. I so bad want to go in on the order, but can't. Said I wouldn't buy anymore chickens right now. It is really hard! lol. Now if he had white rocks, BBS ameraucanas, or mottled cochins, I might of had to go against what I said lol. It will "help" my breeds I want to work on (or at least that would be what I would use as my excuse lol). SPPR as sooo pretty. It is a harder color to work with though

On selling the eggs - if you want to sell them yourself at a market booth you need to contact the specific market and ask them what their requirements are. They are all different and it varies from county-to-county and market-to-market. It won't help to speculate...go right to the source.


And...If you're not the seller (at the market) it's the seller's responsibility to comply with market/county rules.

The eggs are good and the ducks are interesting / fun to watch. They do eat very little compared to how much they forage. But the mess this time of year is hard to deal with for us. I'm hoping if they have their own place, the chicken coop and run will stay cleaner and dryer. But I'm not so sure I want to provide them their own place for 2 eggs a day. A trial run is in order before I get more.
