INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

No, but wow, poor guy. Sounds to me like he was pretty devastated losing his "position".
If he stayed still and didn't make the efforts to keep his body heat up, I can see it happening.
Hope he will be ok.

Glad my idea, doesn't sound too far fetched. Only thing I could think of. He was okay yesterday, hopefully the same today, I am going to go outside in a little bit. It definately is strange.

I love my Boer host nanny. She is not pure bred, just high percentage. So docile and sweet. Stay away from pygmies they are dag gone near impossible to keep in a fence. My pygmies are all gone now thankfully.
I have never had problem keeping pygmys in. Mine were always so fat and lazy they never tried anything. The nigerian dwarfs I have had are another story. i have boers too. If it is easy, like just beginning able to smush down the fence, they are out. I have had alpines and angoras too. The angora never did try to get out, but he was blind in one eye. One alpine would get out, and that is how he meant his demise. A guy driving down the road at 75 hit him. For most goats if they can get out they will, it is just kind of in their nature to "explore". The grass on the other side tastes so much better. This is just my experiences, but other family members and friends have had the same. BTW congrats on your babies!

I guess everyone has a different experience. I have know several other people with pygmies that were very difficult to keep in. I even kept dome in chain link and they broke the fences down climbing on them. My Boer goats do just fine with a couple strands of shock wire. Now that I have said that I will probably have issues this year.LOL

I did get my Sportsman 1502 incubator today, what a beast! DH and DD had to move it, I couldn't wrangle it myself.
Got it all unpacked, and have about 60 quail eggs set now in there to test it
I am very impressed, so far I was able to reach over 70% on humidity! Humidity's been a huge issue for me all along.
I may be selling my styrofoam Little Giant incubators. If anyone is interested, please PM me, I have 2 "fully loaded" fans, turners etc.
I also have a full set of quail rails. Its a 5 minute job to swap the rails for egg sizes.
One is a still air that is just for hatching. the 3 are a year old, and have worked well, but need a less drafty environment than my house.
Are any of the ones you want to sell a 1588 model? I have enough still air types but the digital make my life so much easier.
Add the RIR production chick that I think is a roo, still looks like a rooster, just so you know for planning.

Hey guys! I've been lurking and reading. :) I'm glad the puppy is going to be okay and the baby goats are adorable. M2H, your chicks are really cute!. I cleaned out the silkie box today, and since they can't get outside I let them run around my kitchen. I had a rather large mopping job after. It was really cute though seeing Snow and her babies interact with the silkie family. They were all very good with the babies. I don't feel confident putting them in the box with the big silkies yet though. Hopefully we can get the back out in the coop in a couple of weeks.

This cracked me up. Monkey see monkey do.

ok, anyone know how to get pictures off my ipad to my pc? I connect them with the usb cable. I hear both ipad and computer "chime" and ipad asks me if I trust the computer. I accept that I trust it, but then nothing! Supposedly autorun should pick up the Ipad and allow me to transfer pictures but I cant get the autorun to work. and then i go to my drives and dont see the ipad. However, if I go to the devices in the control panel, i can see the ipad! Im getting frustrated! lol
