Those look great.  Since you are willing to ship, I would start a buy sell trade thread to reach a larger set of buyers.  From there if you want to grow even more there are lots off craft selling sites like etsy.

Something to consider would be the male chicken owners.  Sure the hens are girls, but I'm thinking there must be a guy out there that would want a jean fabric or a sports team fabric or even just a sports themed fabric like basketballs and hoops or baseballs and bats. 

My intention was to let people choose the type fabric they want. What I have in pictures is just what I have in my scrap box from other projects. If you want denim, sports theme or even CAMO, not a prob the fabric store isn't so far I can't make a drive there. Thank you for pointing that out though, I just forgot to mention it. : )

Ok you just gave me something else to make "the old man" freak about!!! Lol that door is going to be purchased within the next 2months!!! Love it!!

Hey! With an automatic door you are less chained to the house and can go out to dinner or out to a movie without worrying about being home to lock the chickens in! Win/win for the hubs!

On the aprons - Might you have any material that is more camouflage -like? Some browns, greens, etc.?

My thinking here is to blend in better while free-ranging if hawks are around.

I think I want to order some to put on the shelf to have around if needed in the future. Last year I had a bare-backed girl all summer long. Never did anything for her and the feathers grew back in after molt time. But it may have been nice to have as a sun-shield so she didn't get sunburned!

I have an auto door but I check every night to be sure they all got in.

It's great for letting them out in the morning as I have to go to work before sunup. BUT....at night I always check to be sure everyone is in and that the door has shut.

Case in point:
Tonight when I went out to check on them, the electricity had disconnected by mistake. Just a loose connection but if I hadn't gone out the door would not have gotten closed and they would have been open to predation.

There have been other nights when for one reason or another, I had a stray bird or 2 not get in. Usually all is well and they are all in. But I encourage folks to always check. If someone gets stuck outside they are easy prey.

ROFLMBO.... He hasn't taken me out to dinner for 5 yrs and the last movie i went out to see was with my daycare kids...finding Nemo. He has NEVER taken me to a movie. Doesn't buy gifts or flowers either. Christmas, Valentines, Birthdays...all "just another day" according to him. I envy those of you with loving helpful understanding mates. I'm just independent and stubborn enough that I just don't care anymore. It's a co-existence that's all. My kids, siblings, doggie and my chickens love me... That's good enough for now.

Sunburned? I am picturing the skin looking like oven roasted. I vote for a nice bright green with a daisy or two on it. Maybe even a 3D kind of daisy so it looks more like a flower blowing in the wind. A crafty pipe cleaner thing with a fake flower on top would do nicely. If no camouflage them maybe a reflective material as I have read hawks don't care for mirrors or flashy things.

I agree we check our run every night too. But it helps that we can see the run from a window in our house. Of course the chickens would not even exit the coop on the cold days ~ the days I wanted to sit inside and watch them from the window.

Yes I have some green, green with a pine print...and you would be surprised what I can do with flowers! Lol. If you don't see anything that you like there just tell me what you want can get it. Not a problem. Is kind of obvious that I am always looking for "projects" to keep me busy. Helps keep my mind off my legs. Have a workers comp injury I've been dealing with since 10/11/12. I'm having issues with depression and pains now... So I apologize for the pity party type comments. Lol
