Know where I can get one for free or below $75?
It's time for me to start my spring projects list. I'm finding the idea of a rain collection barrel in the front of my mind a lot.

Im so sorry your going through all this pain. I wish i could do something to ease all your pain. All i can do is pray for your family. Im sure its affecting all your family. Things will get better i promise just takes time.

I feel your pain, lol

its really frustrating to have around 40 hens and only 1-2 eggs a day! But I am seeing a few more with the longer days. Now if the temps stay above freezing it will be great!

broody vibes to you, good luck!

ACV is the way to go! Heinz is the easiest to find, you are looking for Unpasturized with Mother.
having a hard time finding unpasteurized, but will keep looking. but in the meantime 1 of my pasty butts aint pasty no more....

1 down 1 to go.

Awe chick you're pulling my heart strings! I'm so sorry! You cry to us anytime! We all have our days/months when the sky is falling but you keep your head up and let us know when we can help. Even if it's just to listen!
Thanks sometimes that's all I need to do is just vent... then I go on... just really getting tired, ya know.

I am so sorry, you seem to not catch a break. We all have "rough patches" but dang!
Like I tell everyone, our thread isn't just about chickens. Its about friends to lean on and ask advice from, and helping each other out.
and I'm glad you all are such good listeners. I would have done poped my cork without this thread and the people on it, love u guys,

You must be an outrageously strong woman!!! I've bn told by many that th Good Lord won't put more on you than you can handle. I would be going thru a box of tissues a day if I was in the same predicament! Keeping u in my thoughts n prayers!
I don't know about that strong stuff. I just know if I don't take care of my critters, well try, no one will. they re what keeps me going. And I think The Good Lord is pushing the envelope a bit in this case!!!
thanks for the kind words.
It is like trying to figure out what color egg they will lay. You can't. Two identical chicks could look completely different as adults or visa versa. Unless you get like a yellow chick, they usually end up pure white or white with ticking, they won't end up with a wild pattern. But with the chipmunk it is just a guessing game.
I have a yellow chick that is getting wing feathers and sm tail feathers, they are coming in white, which makes me happy, I have a Blk and grey chick and her feathers are coming in brown. So yea with EE's their like a box of chocolates, ya never know what your gonna get.... but that's part of the fun.

EmSteele~ I'm glad you had a good experience, but keep in mind that 1. It's Bloomington 2. It's a new store.

5 years ago I got mine for 35.00 from a place here in town ar 3rd and Lowkist ( type of tree starts with an L ) I cant spell...

Cute chicken mustache ;-)
So I opened the locked down bator!!! I misted the 6 eggs left and rescued two little fur balls last night. No peeps on the other eggs

I added a little more water. The heat and humidity goes back up pretty quick in the hovabator Genisus. I'm going to leave the eggs back in lock down until I smell odor or see more chicks. Now back to my first ever hatches Birchen Marans with feathered legs from the one and only Brad!! Thanks buddy.
Let me know if I got some show winners here

There are two pics each. The first one was the first to hatch, and I love the little mustache lol, and the second one is who woke me up at 1am to say "hello world chirp chirp" over and over! They both are doing good in the brooder with the Buff's and EE'rs. Both eating and drinking also.

Oh perfect! Terra haute is not that far AND that spawned another thought... My FIL is an avid auction attendee and extremely thrifty. I bet he could locate one for me on the super cheap, if not free. I'm thinking about getting 3.
