INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I have a trio of white silkies and mixed egg flock. Plus 6 new bantams from TSC: 5 sebrites and a D'uccle. I'm a scientist and love genetics. I try to keep a colorful flock that lays many colors of eggs. I raised silkies, polish, japanese bantams, creole old English bantams as a kid. I am currently interested in adding black copper marans and button quail to the flock. I had button quail as a kid and would love a few pairs for my kids. I raise meat birds on pasture in the summer and have Dixie rainbows instead of Cornish Xs coming this year. I am also very interested in ring neck pheasant mutations.

to the woman that talked to my DH in RK about a chicken feeder... he gave you the wrong name it's not MisFit Farm, its me, if you pm me I can send you pic's of the feeder, and I also think it's in the coops section under feeders and waters.
DH just told me you dont have an account you just lurk... lol so here it is..

cut the bottom out and put those thingy's on the bucket and the the pan to hold it together, leave about an inch from the pan or 2, we used 4 of those L brackets. fill it from the top and hang it from the handle.

He didn't tell me which feeder so here is the other one.
a water I use for older chicks

they are coffee cans ( the plastic ones ) with wholes cut in them but I only use these for chicks.

welcome and enjoy BYC

Been lurking this site for over a year. I started with chickens last year, raising RIRs for eggs. Now I have ISA Browns, RIRs, Buff Orpingtons, and Cornish X. Will be adding in some decoration birds for my wife with an assortment of Crescent tops and banties. Looking to add some Easter Eggers, Welsummers, and/or Marans. Will also be adding a couple turkeys come May. Overall, I'm looking at having ~100+ birds. Half will be egg layers. The other half decor and meat.

From Ft. Wayne.

I had another chick hatch, There is a piece of connective tissue attached to what looks like the rear end area. I want to open it up and help the little fuzz butt out but I think it will pull away from it. the chick seems to be pretty strong and is trying to move away from it??
any ideas on what to do with this one?

If it seems strong I would wait. If it starts to become weak, I would open the incubator real quick, get it out, and help it
