INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Sorry for your loss! What a sad day for you. Can I TRY take it better??? WE have babies! So far there are 7black and 2 blue. Oh and I got a grey Silkie today. He hatched with th Marans. There are still 7 Silkie eggs to go along with 5 black and 2blue copper Marans. Those Marans chicks are HUGE ! Lol

Awe Min! Thanks for being so thoughtful!
Are the Marans from my bunch? Post pics..I'd love to see them! What did you end up with?

I still have more I've gathered if anyone is interested in hatching. I now have a broody Marans...she's so vicious she's forced the other girls to laying in a basket in the coop! Lol... I've managed to sneak another GCM BCM and NN/AM cross under her. I'm wanting to hatch only NN after my Marans bunch. This last hatch of Marans will be 4/4 if I remember correctly. So trying for some colored egg NN next.

I definitely lost the Silkie boy but did have the 2 babes just show up this afternoon! I haven't a clue where they were hiding as I stood outside in different places last night just waiting to hear their peeping and thought I heard them then realized it was my boots! Feel like such a goof sometimes with these chicks!

I posted this on the Facebook site as well but...a friend is looking for guinea hens. She's from my county (Lawrence). Rural King in Bloomington didn't have any when she checked. Any ideas I can give her? I don't think she wants to deal with mailing them.

Hi Everyone,

I just started updating the BYC Members List on Google Docs. If you would like for me to add your info, just send me a pm with any of the following information you would like to share:

County:
City:
Species: (Chicken, Turkey, Guinea, Duck, Geese, etc.)
Breed:
Color/Variety:
LF/Bantam
Breeding: Y/N
Facebook ID and/or Website: (for example one member could have their personal page and their farms page listed)
Comments: Example: You sell hatching eggs or hens, etc..

I can put any of this in for each of the breeds or species that you have. Its up to you. Also, I tried adding the link to our Members List here, but I'm not sure if its working. Mother2Hens has it in her signature for sure.

Thanks!

A friend posted this on fb.

Awesome! Congratulations! Can't wait to see them!
I picked what was obviously just a strong hunch to give my aunt as she can only have girls. .smallest darkest comb of them all. Can't help but think the 3 I have now are all boys! I'm ok with that though. I need more and more choices for pairing. I have one BCM hen that after a molt doesn't have as much copper as she did before. I also have another that popped out a feather in between her toes. So I'd like to breed away from that. Other than that I really can't complain. I know they aren't perfect but I know they'd give a good run at a show! I would like to do that sometime...
