Thank you so much! I was just going to ask if the box that doesn't say iron on it is the one to use. Got an odd shopping list today-liver, infant poly-vi-sol and food for dinner!@atrueb00
Here's what the box looks like:

I'm not so sure you have as many boys as you think. One of the BJGs looks like a possible boy, and none of the SLWs that I see look like boys. I don't even see anything on the Brahmas that screams boys. If you had boys from any of them, I'd expect to see more wattle development by 8-10 weeks like you do on the wellies. Even with a pea or rose comb, the wattles get much bigger, much earlier on the boys.hey all I have Roo's for sale or trade for same breed hens/pullets or for Silkie hens/pullets (pq ) I don't show and I cant have all these Roosters.
Some I couldn't get by themselves they just were not being a very willing bunch today.

the SLW Like the BJG I am unsure of, if I'm wrong please educate me, I based all this on feathers near the tail and lacing and combs. and I compared them to the pullets ( the plainer of the breed ) I know Most Roosters are brighter and more colorful and darker combs.
I will put them on HT next week if no one is interested. Thanks.
No iron!!!! VEry important it has to be without iron. The stores do have that. The top pic does look more cuckoo to me than partridge. The second one looks like my partridge pullets though-they have the same pattern on the wing feathers and even some in the tail feathers. The partridge cockerels didn't have this and I've heard it can be a sex link thing but not 100% sure if that is true.
Woohoo! Make room for the gardening projects!
Woot!
The black silkie rooster is not on medicated feed, he is on layer pellets mixed with cracked corn (probably 10% corn/90% pellets).
Is this the stuff? Is it found in the baby aisle?
Thank you for posting! Will have to check it out!
Based off what I've seen for sale at TSC and that the top two photos look just like the pullets my cousin got, I'd say the top pic is of ISA Browns and the middle one is of black sex linked layers. Not sure on the bottom pic.
Have bn swamped with chores, baking and babysitting lately just wanted to stop by n say HI!!!! Took some pics of some new additions and of the babies that are 6 wks now...hope u enjoy them!this is Darcy a Khaki Cambell and following is her sister Dingo

But you are close.
DON'T GET THE KIND THAT SAYS "WITH IRON".
It is the right brand, but not WITH IRON
Please remind me again why the no iron. I don't use the droplets, but am curious that i can't recall why no iron for chickens.
I want one, but in the shape of a coop or breeding pen.![]()

Sounds like something I might be tempted to do.![]()

The "short" answer on the iron is that for those tiny little bodies, it's very easy to cause toxicity by feeding supplemental iron.
And...
I really wouldn't paint my house like that. It's just when someone says I CAN'T do something my mind would be trying to find a way to "make a point".![]()
