INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Thanks. I also got back two nice partridge cockerels. Crests need some work, but they have the most vibrant coloring. Also have a blue with leakage, white, and a pair of buffs. Now that I have a trio of buffs, not sure if is should keep them or sell them. Lol. I personally do not like the buff coloring, but it seems pretty popular.

Would you mind enlightening me on what 'leakage' is in chicken lingo?
Someone on the Cream Legbar breeding standards page said one of mine had gold leakage, and it didn't seem like a good thing.

If I chose the correct picture you can see some silver leakage in his hackles and wing feathers.

Thanks. Does that mean in this example that he has some stray silver feathers mixed in with his normal ones in those areas? Or does it mean he has a silver-colored hue in his overall appearance of those areas?
Thanks for your patience in explaining it to me.

So will anyone have a prescence at the Marion county or Hancock county fair this week? I know the poultry show at Hancock is tomorrow, Friday at 8 AM, want to go but since DD has a cold I am not sure she will be conscious by then. Then Marion county's is I believe at 10 on Saturday. Wanna go hang with the chickens and wondering if anyone else will be there!

We won't make it to these two but last year the fair that meets in columbus had a great chicken show.

We're way South of those - but I am just blown away that it is fair time again already -- where does the time go every year? Our's is the second week in July, I know a couple of kids who have some projects to get finished up, lol.

Exactly! I know a couple kids, too, who also have a number of projects to finish up.... well, I guess it would help to actually start them so they can be finished!

Our rabbit check in day is 4 weeks from today & fair starts 4 weeks from tomorrow. Too much to do in the next 4 weeks!
