She just pooped and it is really runny - liquid with some firm parts mixed in there.
check to see if she has been eating, is she full? May account for the liquid poo, if see cant open her eyes long enough to eat. Hope she gets feeling better soon.

Here is another coop project. 8x8 shed kit. Just need to lay shingles and build the run. This will be for show birds!!
Will be a very nice coop for your special kids.

Wow guys, good to see everyone's new additions and projects. Things have been crazy at my place. Building all the time. Here are a few pictures of our work.
Is the whole building for your birds? That would be awesome.

I know this is a long shot but i have to try. I live between madison and versaills Indiana i have lost my dog. i am just heart broken. she was just spayed 7 days ago i am offering 50 dollars to who ever can find her and return her to me. if you are in this area please keep your eyes open for me.
hope she comes back soon.

@granny hatchet Was your dog microchipped? Make flyers with color photos for all the veterinary clinics in your area so if someone comes in with a "stray," they might recognize her. There is a lost pet alert service around Indy which is free (for basic services), but I didn't see anything like that for your area. Still, there may be... I hope you find her soon!
I just got a lost dog back. this is how I did it... just to give you ideals that maybe you missed. I called animal control made a report, called the shelter and gave info and e-mailed a pic's with info again, called all area vets and posted flyers there too. also posted flyers in my neighborhood. local grocery stores have bulletin boards to put flyers on. And I did allot of walking and calling. Good luck hope she comes home soon.

Off to bed to sleep off a crummy night. Lost 2 birds to either a coon or a coyote. I got outside in time to find one. She had a broken neck and died in my arms. I feel like I failed them. I know those of us that choose to free range always run this risk, but it just stinks when we're reminded of it. This is my first predator loss in over a year... Boo on naturre.
Sorry for your loss

Here is some pics of my birds at the fair.
Meat birds

Splash Ameraucanas

LOVE this pullet! She did great. I am expecting good things from her at state and Lebanon. She actually got to go inside a bank on check out day lol.

Blue Ameraucanas (there are two chickens in there even though it doesn't really look like it). Really like one of these pullets too

White Plymouth Rocks (they were very stressed out at the fair, I have never seen them act that way)

Mottled Cochin Bantam (he was originally in one of the bantam cages, which I could barely fit in them. And then thought I would be able to get him out. Anyways I got him out and after the show I put him back on the shelf with the bantams in one of my cages.)

Head shots of a Splash Ameraucana (the one that won the reserve's)

White Plymouth Rock

So I have two broody's now and I decided to just leave them alone, besides giving them fertile eggs. The White bantam Ameraucana is laying on a bunch of feed bags beside the freezer that the food is kept in and the barn wall.

A production red is sitting here. I kind of scared her off the nest, but she came right back after she ate and stretched her legs.

This is a feeder that I built. Using them in my breeding pens.
very nice birds, I am going to steal your feeder ideal if you don't mind. Would save so much feed. I always lose feed to the rain when I'm not home.

My mother and daughter silkies. I love this color. Does anyone know what color rooster I should put with them to get more of this color? I have a paint and a black rooster and I'm guessing neither of them will work.

She has a single comb but I love her to death. And she makes beautiful babies.

love your Silkies, I want more........

When you guys make Facebook pages for your farms, do you open an entire new Facebook account or just create a page? Also if you create a page can people see who started te page?
I just made a page. Don't know if it shows who made it sorry???

I also have a hen and a pulet that are the opposite in colors and love them as well. I am going to put them with my black roo to see what they produce and later try them with my paint roo.

Pullet above and my her mom below. I have new roosters this year so I don't know if I will get more of either colors this year.

Silkie overload!!!!! love it

I just created a page. I dont think it says who started thebpage but you can double check on mine and see if its noticeable to you.

I just created a page for mine. I think they can see who started it, but not sure.

Thanks everyone. I don't care if you use the feed trough idea! And probably wondering why I are if someone can see if you make a page. I was just curious, no reason

Ok gang I'm confused! My Silkie Diamond hatched out a pretty little Gem in mid June. She started laying again the first part of last week, yesterday she through a hissy and growled at me when I tried t check under her for eggs...she's broody AGAIN!!! is this normal??? Her little Gem is just 5 wks old and still very tiny! Not even completely feathered out! Grrrrr that poor baby still needs it's Mommy! Should I let her have her eggs and let her brood or try t break her so she'll take care of her chick?

ETA: if I do break her will she even bother t continue taking care of her chick? The Roo, Earl, is still in there with her. Would it help if I took him out of the pen (and put him in the Rooster pen)?
If she has started to brood again, I doubt she will continue to care for the chick no matter what you do. Is she completely ignoring her? For mine, pretty much once they started to lay again, they abandoned their chicks.
