Is anyone looking for a pair of laying khaki ducks. I don't have a drake but I do have a few khaki ducks I would like to sell. They started laying this week and we are just getting a few too many eggs.

The fair was fun today! I really liked getting to look at the chickens now that I know a little more about the breeds. I wish there had been more breeds represented. I really wanted to see a silkie in person. But there were several Wyandottes, and I think I'm in love. There was another breed I was hoping to see, but its escaping me now. Well anyway, it was fun! I can't wait till the demolition derby! :-D

how can you use that on goats? (n dairy ) and how long did you wait to eat the eggs after you used it. I wormed everyone last week and had to go BUY eggs... I want my eggs back... the bottle says 2 weeks. do I really have to wait that long.???? 

I waited the two weeks recommended just didn't want t risk anything.

Thanks! I finished off the corn yesterday and got a final count of 202 ears! So happy!
Our last of it was 45 ears of Candy Corn. It was big and beautiful!

There were definitely silkies there on Wednesday. They were in the bantams section, mostly in a single row, nearest the 'front' of the barn (where the office was located).

OOOOHHhhhhhhhh. I didn't expect them to be with the bantams. I thought silkies were LF.

Tiny chickens give me the willies. I'm not kidding. I couldn't walk the bantam isle without squealing like a little girl, and I'm too old and fat for that to be cute.

I have a neighbor that has a little flock of banties about half mile away from me. Can't say they give me the willies but I can't figure out for the life of me how these things survive the myriad hawks around here. And his little rooster is quite ornate but the crow is so tiny! I can just imagine my big boy going over there, killing the little guy, and then calling all the girls over to have a meat snack.
