I love my silkies. They are the sweetest of my chickens. I have some breeds on my wishlist, too, but not until next year, if even then. Hubby is not in a hurry to get chicks again.

I love feed stores. I always have. When I was a kid there was a store called Big Blue (now Orscheln's) and it has always held a siren's song for me. TSC is good, too. Growing up in Sellersburg there was just a plain old "Feed and Seed" store downtown (long gone now). I would stop in there and talk to the people working, just ask them what they sold. No reason. I guess I was destined to have *something* to feed.

This year I finally got a pair of Sloggers from TSC, after wanting a pair for about 20 years. They are my "chicken shoes" and an asset here where the trees keep my yard moist so much of the time. Great for dewy mornings or nights: http://instagram.com/p/pod-ctMPJb/?modal=true

Orscheln's in Scottsburg is usually where I go, but here lately every time I Have went, they haven't had the stuff I need Starting to get depressed with them. Lately I been going to Rural King in Jeffersonville or Tractor Supply in Madison. So you must be close to me?

Georgetown. Not too far.

There's a TSC & and Orscheln's in Corydon, too, but I doubt that's any closer than Jeff. You know there is a TSC in Sellersburg, too? That might be closer than Jeff.

This is Olivia a few weeks ago. She hatched in March. This Elliot, also hatched in March, you can defiantly see a big difference. Hope this helps!!!

The Chicks I purchased from TSC, came from Mt Healthy who claimed they were Welsummer Pullets! Grrrrr! If they don't lay dark eggs I won't b a happy camper!
