 great news Darth - our Roo is improving too from the july 9th dog attack - he hops around on one leg - the bad leg will prob never work again.  had some pretty bad puncture wounds, but skin is healing.   wormed him 3 days ago

I'm glad your roo is doing good. It surprises me on how hardy chickens when it comes to injuries!

Sorry about wibbles. I bought a pair of call ducks from Lebanon two or 3 years ago. There are lots I choose from. Just make sure you get some that have at least been worked with a little. The ones I got you would have thought no one had touched them in their life. And I will b at Lebanon. I will never miss that show, it is my favorite!

She's beyond a doubt a girl. Her coloration is only feminine, there's no way she could be a rooster. She's getting close to laying if she hasn't started yet! I still think she's a Leghorn, too. She looks so much like my LBL when she was younger.







Well, I spent the afternoon shoveling all the bedding out of the coop and dusting it for grain mites. :/ The girls spilled enough feed in there that when I had an infested bag I didn't catch in time, and the buggers got into the shavings bad. The good news is, I think I got them under control. The bad news is, I'm exhausted. Nothing a little ice cream can't fix.


P.S. counting chickens in German takes a lot longer than in English. That's your useless information for the evening. Bitte schoen.

I will watch for you when I am down there.

I can count to 40 in Spanish but that isn't enough to count all my chickens. I was going to take German, but it interfered with other classes to much
