Now if it were my flock and I was getting two more and had these breeds to pick from I would get two bantam mottled Cochins. Because I don't "need" any of the other breeds, but I need more mottled Cochins
I hear you on need versus "need".
Busy weekend, so I am catching up . . .
@pipdzipdnreadytogo You have some Lucky Ducks! I'm not sure if I've heard of a duck coop before. Where's the indoor pool?
I have actually seen a couple indoor duck pools now over on the duck forum!
I went for ease of cleaning--their pool will be at the bottom of the hill in their yard, a good walking distance from their coop!I have started scooping my oegbs and the little sebrights up too, they all are looking uncomfortable and ruffly. The little girls are spending a lot more time on my lap if i sit down, snuggling. They want to be in the big birds coop so badly! They have their own winter coop I can confine them to and keep them warm. If I do keep my quail going thru the winter, they will be going in there also.
Woke up around 3 and wound up here. Just wanted to catch up! Goodnite guys![]()

Everything seems to be working out with this setup, so hopefully now little Rosie can regrow her feathers in peace.
