This is her first time broody we started with 8 eggs and only 2 of them has made to the hatching point. All others but 3 was infertile. She accidentally pecked into one while moving eggs. Should I keep the little one in with momma or bring it in

For those of you who enjoy Garrison Keiler & Prairie Home Companion, tonight's program is being broadcast live from our very own Goshen College! This is the second time in the last 2(?) years that he has been here -- he said the first time was one of his most enjoyable live shows! The program begins at 6:00 pm on NPR.

Editing to add if anyone wants ground goat meat for their pets or dogs, I have some I can part with at cost. Otherwise my chickens will gradually enjoy our prior buck.

Just curious does this pet food taste pretty good off of the grill with perhaps a little garlic salt?

My dairy beef I had on grain the entire time. I needed them to be "finished" in a specific time period and it just wasn't going to happen on grass alone. They were still small at processing at 950lbs. My beef I have now is on grain as a treat to keep them friendly.

I'd leave it with momma if she's carring for it. That way it's not lonely!

Broody question:
We will be rehoming a few chicks from our broody. Should I just slip them away? (What I planned since we have a lot of chicks at the moment. Some of them have to go.) or Should I try to replace with incubator chicks of same age? I don't know if that's possible, but curious to know if anyone has done it. 1st time broody; she's doing great. All our chicks are 3 weeks old.

I have an older brother in Rochester, Minnesota and a sister who lived in St. Paul most of her life who have been huge fans. Sounds like fun-- hope you were able to attend.

Thanks I'll leave it in brooder with mom. Did check other egg and you can feel other chic move in it. My brooder is in main coop for now until I can finish new coop
