J&M Polutry in Cambridge City. About $2.25 for each bird with a $10.00 minimum, I think. Very fine facility with good service. (765) 489-6290.

They are about 1.5 hours from us. I appreciate the info but I'm really hoping there is something south of Indianapolis. Maybe close to Franklin, or Mooresville, even Columbus, IN would be closer.

Fairly new to the forum and would like to be added to the list. I live in NW Indiana just outside Michigan city. Also, got a quick questions for you Northern Hoosiers. Does anyone know of a place that does small scale (6 birds) chicken processing in the area? I have found a couple of deer places but they don't do chickens. I drive to the southside of chicago everyday so could do anything in between. Thanks a bunch everyone!

You could always process your own. Its not really that hard. If you look up videos on youtube there is couple different ways to doing it. I prefer a humane way tho.

The deer places close to me won't process chickens either and I really don't want to drive over an hour. I'm hoping someone on here will live close to me and be willing to process the birds for a fee or even trade for meat.
I hope you can find a place close to you.

I get the poultry press every month so i will list swaps as they are advertised. There's several of us here that could really make this fun.
