oh oh oh oh oh QUAIL !!!!!!!!!! I love my lil quail, going to try and finish their flight pen next to the chicken run tonight if it isn't too rainy. Mom's dog has been sick so I had to go over to her house last night at 1am after stopping by work (the vet) and getting IV supplies, and give the guy an IV. The clippers to shave his leg scared him to death, then he didn't even notice anything else

Personally, i will take a clippering over a needle into me any day

Weird as it sounds I can be at work all day pokin dogs and cats but I really really don't like needles going into me.

We are getting closer to chickenstock time !!!!!!

They kinda skimped on the battle scene at the end but that is okay . . . . . I was surprised that the 7:45 show wasn't sold out. The ten midnightish showings and the 320 am wed showings all sold out, guess everyone saw it the night before LOL

I still need to figure out what I am gonna bring . . . . .dang choices

Hey, did you still need A&Ms?? I have a whole box full of youngsters, they'll be about 3 weeks old at swap time

Actually I think I will stick with a breeding group of Jumbos if you have them... I havent had much time to work on the quail cages and will be moving into an apartment in the next few days.. So wont have much time to work on it between then and now.. So i had better stick with one breed for now... If you dont have a breeding group then I will take some a&ms and take my chances... Thanks for the reminder Ive been kinda scatterbrained lately... And now nervous about living on my own..

No problem, I couldn't remember what I was supposed to bring, so that's why I asked. I was going to take my older ones to auction this week, but I'll make sure to keep a group for you. They are about 4 weeks old now, so they won't be laying just yet come swap time. But they (jumbos) normally start laying between 6 and 10 weeks old, so they should start up shortly after you get them.
I am just going to make some 'cages' out of cardboard, with some window screen or something to cover them with, and bring all the extra quail I have
smile.png
That way I won't forget anything

AC~~~ What was I bringing you again?? A pair or just a pullet? I can't remember!! Maybe I'll just bring all the mottled cochin babies??

Chuck~~~You know I would love to have those millies!!! I'm addicted to the little boogers, they are so pretty, and even sweeter than the silkies!

Thanks so much!

ETA: Who else wanted a cochin baby?? Was it Schultz?? I have the mottleds, and a POL buff columbian girl, for whomever was interested

Oh my...Miss_Jayne..You aren't doing anything to help stop my addiction are you?*cough* Please don't post a picture of her on here then I might be tempted!!!

For an update on Kernal: I was rounding up all the banties to be put in their cage with a broom and he mocked charged me! I gave him the stink eye and then he backed off. He has also been going at the banty boys.

babies are doing well thank you!!! I will probly bring a little pullet to re-home/sell because it has a little deformed hook beak going on. Kind of curves to the right when you look at it straight on. The poor dear...still eat's just fine and is very strong...i just don't have the heart to cull the bad traits out of my baby flock since i have plans of breeding. So i will start the dibs system now if anyone is intrested...lol

I missed this part earlier. I would say just scrap them, unless someone else volunteers. You have done so much already! I'm not a big ribs fan, so that's my vote
