Since it's summer I don't have quite as much going on, tho I did manage to go to work today with an injured chicken and come home with my chicken and a fawn. We do a lot of work for the state wildlife officers in our area (we do wildlife for free) and we had a sick fawn come in today that we are attempting to treat and if it gets better then it will go to rehabilitation once the dr gives him the go ahead. He is my 4th fawn ive gotten since I started working at the vet 8ish years ago. We have had one that has made it to rehab, the other 2 just weren't salvageable in the end, but I am hoping this guy decides to turn it around. He has a yellow tint to his skin and atm seems unable to use his rear legs but we are gonna give him a few days on antibiotics, we also gave him some ivomec today, I bottle feed him and try to get Morgan (my deer mama dobe) to stop bathing him . . . .and when I put him up to let him rest she complains at me. . . . not to me mind you, at me . . . hahaha if she could crawl into the small bed he is in, I think she would. As it is right now she jsut gets very irritated at me for taking him away from her, but he needs rest and not bathing 24/7 LOL

Speaking of, it's time to feed the little man.

I prefer standard, but I do live in town so don't plan on me taking too many home with me. (not that I wouldn't like too, but the "SO" would throw a fit)

Do you like these? You should see them before they molt. Their tails have been 3 ft or longer. They only molt every 2 to 3 years so they can grow the long tails..........
