I must have gotten really lucky with my feed store chicks. . . . out of a total of 18 I only ended up with 3, maybe 4, roos. . . and the little sebright I was pretty sure would be a roo the day I picked it, unfortunately lol

I have a jersey giant that I kept thinking was a hen, then it would look rooish, then it developed some wattles but not much comb, but everything is pink, and when I put it out in the run with the others my 3 def roos try to breed with it . . . .so I shall keep calling Fezzick a "shim" *sigh* waiting on that one to crow or lay an egg LOL

OH!!!! BOY!!! got my new babies today!!!!!

And it's my birthday!!! well it was the 16th...now the 17th but i have not gone to bed yet

I ordered these from meyers hatchery in Ohio about a month ago. Took'em 16 hours to get to me when they were shiped on the 15th!!


Now i got 4 silkies with the intent on keeping two of them..."a pair of girls" the other two will be for sale/trade at the chickenstock. They will be 6 to 7 week's old by then. Also, the little welsummer "sex'd pullet" you see all blured in the picture "may or may not" be for sale/trade as well. It seem's to keep picking at the feet of the baby silkies...allmost "dragging" the poor little silks across the brooder. She will not mess with the other polish chicks and one GLW...only the silkies. Im guessing it's because of the feather's on the feet.


I will also have the following for sale/trade...

BA Roo... will be 14 weeks
Mixed Roo... will be 18 weeks
Lake Roo... will be 14 weeks
BA Pullet...will be 14 weeks

All the chickens above will be at that^^ age when the party start's on August 1st

Gosh...i think that's possibly 7!!!! birds i will have for sale or trade!!! Better tell me what ya got for sale/trade now so we can start up the "dibs" system lol

Whitney, why is it the past 2 mornings I have laughed out loud at something you have said? A "shim"? That made me laugh and scare the cats, good thing Rob already left for work! By the way, you may have already read them but I wanted to let you know I am done reading The Regulators and The Dark Half for the second time if you are interested in them (I only skimmed thru them). I am going to start Rainbow Six for the second time today since it is going to rain again

A coon got mine, but I got the coon! I will have some neat mixes to bring--not sure what yet. Probably some ducklings too, if anyone wants them.

A lady came here to buy something I had listed on craigslist and she saw her, I told her it was a poodle chicken
