I hope I didn't jinx ya. I have been prayin for cockerels ever since I joined BYC. No one had any, then when I went to hatch out a few dozen, I am gettin like 1 stinkin cockerel outta 6 chicks. This is the year of the pullet for me.
Did you get your 25 LiL golden Orp puffballs? How are they doing? I hatched out 15 so far, but I have plenty more coming in.

I have not read that book and need to pick it up sometime to read it !! At the moment I am about halfway thru "The Outlaw Demon Wails" by Kim Harrison, it is the 5th or 6th in a series and I have the one that comes right after it as well. I think my book list keeps getting longer and longer, but that is okay because it is helping me not spend so much free time on Everquest in the evening LOL Hi, my name is Whitney and I am a gaming/reading/doberman/chicken nerd . . . . I let a chicken friend of mine know about chickenstock, and I think their family might be coming too. There are 5 in her family. I will make sure we bring enough food

anyway, her dad is a local artist. Very abstract and beautiful colors...but he was selling some notecards (an inexpensive way to get expensive art

) but he has some really cool ones of chickens. I'm trying to get her to bring them... at least an order form if anyone is interested.

Whitney, have a safe trip and watch out for construction, it's a headache around here even at 2am. It's raining again today, I feel like nothing is ever going to get done. I just had some chicks hatch and need to move some juvies out to the big girl pen, BUT NOT TODAY!

Mendy, your friends are welcome too! And by all means, chicken art is always welcome!!
We will be having some non-chicken owners coming as well who are possibly interested in getting into them so I want to be able to show them how much fun it can be

OMG! Haven't been on for a while and it took me forever to read this thread! I can't believe what I've missed. Now I am soooo depressed! I will be missing the CS party of the year! We have been so busy planning our daughter's wedding (in Savannah, GA) on August 12th and just have so much to do. Plus my Dad has esophageal cancer and we are all dealng with that as he probably won't make the wedding

Kathleen, I apologize for not beeing in touch. I was really hoping to get a BO pullet from you (still trying to finish our little birdie coop) but I don't think I can at this time. I think it's wonderful you guys are offering your home for this wonderful party and swap meet. I am so sorry I will miss meeting you and all the other BYC members
