A Javelin was an AMC car, a form of a Rambler, they went out of business many years ago and were bought out by GM. Who then sold part of it to Chrysler, the Jeep division.

My first car was a 73 Gran Torino with a 302 Windsor block that beat out most 318's on the road. Bought it brand new for $3600.00. It was the bare bones model, AM radio, no air, but I loved that car, would go through anything.

Wow, I am playing catch-up too! All of your stories are such a treat to read! My first car was a 1978 Datsun B-210, nothing fancy but it was mine. I also had a 1970 1/2 Camaro for a brief time until the ex destroyed it

I found some name tags yesterday at the dollar store, I bought 100, that's all they had. I also bought plain ones we could probably use for the kids or something! I also found boneless, skinless chicken on sale yesterday and bought enough to make all the kabobs for the party! That was a relief! Now if my peppers will cooperate, we're in business! On a very sad note, I had bought 10+ pounds of pork roast and cooked it for about 12 hours. I shredded it last night and to my dismay, I only got about 2 pounds of meat, maybe less! These roasts were the worst ones I have ever made. Don't get me wrong, they are very delicious but there was about 6-7 pounds of fat, skin and bone. I actually called the store's customer service number to complain, it was that bad! Well anyaway, I will be headed back to the store to buy more pork Friday.

Kathleen, if your store has a real live butcher ask him to trim the most of the fat off the roasts for you first, then wrap the trimmings seperately. You can use the trimmings to make crackling, as well as use some of the fat to help cook the roasts with.

Krogers had a sale going on on Cornish Game Hens, 3 lb bags for only $3.99. I picked up a bag, and have it in the freezer for a special dinner some night.

hrm . . . . when I got my license I inherited a test car (aka this is the extra family car that you can drive and lets see if you kill it) Was an early 90something Buick LeSaber thingy, then my freshman year in college I was given a red 5speed 93 mazda mx-6, still sad I managed to kill that one

Now on another note, my father used to have a 57 chevy (was stolen and later found gutted before my time) and we still have a 55 chevy belaire sitting in the side yard at moms, rusting slowly. . . . . dad used to do drag racing in it, he wants to fix it up but also wants to build the perfect garage to do so in . . . . .sooooo it will prob sit there and rust to death . . . . and it could be such a pretty car . . . . still is even with all the rust . . . .

You can always try the Beech Grove Meat Market on main street. Ken is the butcher, he's been in business for decades. I was there today. Fair prices for great quality.

Well, I guess since I didn't yell at the lady when I called the Kroger customer service number, she gave me a credit for the meat, so I will use that to buy more this weekend. They don't have a butcher on the weekends so I will have to chance it. I may chek out the Meat Market also to buy additional. Thanks for the tip lildinkum.
Thanks to Mandy aka augustmomx2, a guy came out yesterday to spray for skeeters, it was raining so he couldn't but he is going to be back next week! Thanks Mandy!!!
Oh, and guess what???? (No not Chicken Butt) I have a lady who is going to try to come out and give all the parents child safety kits and give us a demo on how they work. I was in touch with her organization yesterday and I think this will be an added bonus for anyone wilth children! If for some reason she can't make it, she is going to bring me the kits beforehand and give me the demo so I can still pass them out to you all!
Today I am going to try and make the Coney Sauce and can it (I did say try

What ages of kids will be there? Boy & girls? Will adults partake in busting this thing open? I suppose it doesn't matter much, as this will be all in fun anyways.

Does anyone have any of those hollow Easter Eggs? I was thinking last night(I know, that's a dangerous thing for me to do!) and thought that we could have an Adult Egg Hunt and fill them with either candy or numbers and the numbers could relate to prizes. Like pot holders, dish towels, face towels, wash clothes, chair pads, all chicken related, of course. Just a thought.

My boss just gave me the go ahead for a Free Night Stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Columbus, IN ...
