just get their head all wet and wash it up. then blow dry on warm, not too hot.

voila, fluffy silkie. you can use a drop of bluing in their water to whiten them too.

Oh my gosh--the FOOD! I'm salivating. We could have another contest where we weigh ourselves when we arrive and before we leave. Whoever gains the most wins!

I'd take home the blue ribbon for sure!

I'm just so excited to meet all of you--especially Kathleen! Its crazy that there will be so many people there that we might not even be able to make eye contact with everyone let alone have conversations. I'm looking forward to getting to know as many of you as possible, though.

Anyone have a karaoke machine?? I'm thinking we could set up a 'stage' and have every BYC member there at least get up and introduce themselves. At least we'll all meet each other, in a sense.

Oh you need one of those handy bacon presses. Not the cast iron ones, that's too much work. I use an aluminum one I inherited from my grandpa, I love it!!

the presses are great! the bacon lays nicely...it's home grown and thick sliced...it's the 10 year old who wants to flip it every ten seconds! he actually did really well and made wonderful scrambled eggs too!

my husband thinks rice pudding is the best dessert ever!!!

No Bacon Presses needed. Just lay your bacon on a cookie sheet that has a lip all the way around or a jelly roll pan and pop it in the oven. Yummy! perfectly flat and just like at the restaurants! Way too super easy.

That's what I do!

Wow you guys got it covered, huh? I so can't wait to meet all of you either. This has been a fantastic journey so far, I have meet soooo many wonderful people and made quite a few new friends. If all goes well tomorrow, tables will be set up, a few minor details in the burn pile taken care of, oh and I need to cover some junk aka the hottub that needs installed and the ductwork that needs installed and...well you get the picture. We have tarps, yay! I tried to get my sister to DJ for us, but she is booked this weekend so hopefully we will work something out, I can yell pretty loud

One other thing!!! Very important. If you do not have anything to put under your birds, we will have tarpaper (for roofing) it is waterproof and leak proof and ideal for using for bio-security
