That was so fun! I hope we could do another one in the fall. I can't believe I came home with just 1 pullet! I'll get some pictures up tomorrow of her. She's a real sweety!

Miss_Jayne stopped by and seen Kernal

I thought she was going to grab him and run! LOL He was a show off!

The two little girls I got from chicken_china_mom were bullies on the way home. They had to ride with the 2 mottled cochin boys, and one of the girls was pecking one of the boys the whole way!! They got their just deserts today, when every roo in the yard had to check out the new girls!! They eventually just hid in the weeds that are supposed to be a garden. But later this afternoon, I saw my lakenvelder roo out there feeding them, so it's all good! They figured out where to roost (of course not where I wanted them to!). I wanted them to be in the little lot out back with the youngsters, but they saw all the big birds in the barn rafters, and they were hooked!! They are now happily perched at the top of the ladder, which is about a foot higher than the 9ft rafters!!

But they seem like they'll fit in!

So glad you and Rick made it home safe! I read your note and I guess Bandit the cat wouldn't fit in your purse, he was resting peacefully with Phalanx and Magic on my bed
