Hi. I am in S.E Indiana. Does anyone know of any shows later in the year in this area? I thought there was one that was held in Connersville around Oct/Nov. Also if anyone knows of any bantam cochin breeders in the area please let me know. Thanks.....

I'm planning on being there--have an overload of chicks and hope to part with a few (or several!). Got carried away setting up the incubator this spring.

I have a few bantam cochin chicks, including two that just hatched and 3 or 4 more in the incubator. Are there specifics that you're looking for?

I'm at Westport, between Greensburg and North Vernon.

What colors are your silkies? And is there anything in particular that you're looking for? I have some standard cochins, two australorp pullets, and two golden comet pullets--all about 10 weeks old. I over buy chicks in case some don't make it, and they all did.

For anyone thinking of going to the Knox Swap...
DO!

Not only did I get to meet Pbirdhaven (and was immensely tempted to get one or more of her "designer" chicks

)...

Carole M:
I looked for your Jeep and must have walked right past it - Pbird said you were there.
Maybe next time?

The Swap itself was much larger than I thought it would be.
Some nice-looking chickens for sale there along with some very nice goats, tons o' bunnies, puppies, kittens, garden plants, etc

Hi pbirdhaven, My silkies are blue/black ages from 3 weeks to adult. Some are pet ,brood ,or potential show quality. I'm not looking for anything right now, but would like to find out about some swaps for the future to be able to sell or trade some chickens. If your interested just pm me. Thank you

Don't forget we are having a Chickenstock/Meetup here in August! The thread can be located in my signature line

Sorry I missed you too, 2DogsFarm. I was on the east side of the arena with my Jeep and hanging out with 2 ladies that had pigeons for sale. They sold them all, and I didn't buy a thing!

Judy, it was great to see you again. We told peeps about the meet-up, so the word is OUT THERE!

I had a great time at the Knox swap--reconnected with Carole, met 2DogsFarm, and chatted with lots of other interesting people.
Didn't unload as many chicks as I would have liked, but it's a fine way to spend a morning. A long drive for me, so I only go about once a year. Guess I'll try again with my excess chickens this Saturday at Frankfort KY!
